I have been asked a lot about activities for babies. Here is one for you from when Max was a bit younger. A rainstick in a plastic bottle appeals to all ages (including adults). The sound is very calming and it's mesmerizing to watch the grains trickle down. I dropped wooden toothpicks into the empty bottle and added a bit of broken dyed rice, amaranth and poppy seeds, but any tiny grains would work
