There is a big chance we all have an abundance of empty cardboard boxes after Christmas. Let's turn them into toys! There is no such thing as "too many toys" is there? Here is a simple DIY ball sorter that will help you sort all the balls you have at home by size while keeping your child entertained and curious about how this mysterious machine works. MATERIALS: - Cardboard box - Craft paper - Rubber Balls (Three different sizes) - Scissors - Marker - Glue - Paperclip INSTRUCTIONS: (1) Cut an empty cardboard box to make shapes I show in the video. Glue them together so that it looks almost like the bottom of a vending machine. (2) On a smaller piece of cardboard that will fit inside the box, make holes that will easily have the two smaller sizes of rubber balls through them. One box for each size. (3) Glue this slotted piece inside the box at an angle, adding two divider pieces so there are three slots. (4) Score the excess piece of cardboard at the back of the box and fold it down to make a lid. Mark out and cut out a hole at the top where you ramp is. Cover the top half of the exposed part with a piece of paper with three different sized dots, matching your balls. (5) When you drop your balls, watch how they get sorted in different sections!
