This video is answering the question of do all leopards have spots.
Tips for Parents
-
Here's how to talk to your child about it
You learned that most leopards have spots called rosettes, but there are also black leopards that have dark hair, making their spots harder to see.
-
Some activities you can do with your child now
- Play a game of "spot the rosettes" with your child, pointing out the leopard's spots in the video and encouraging them to find spots on other animals or objects around the house. - Create a craft activity where your child can make their own leopard spots using paint or markers. Talk about how each leopard's spots are unique, just like their artwork. - Read a book about different types of big cats, including leopards, and discuss the different patterns and colors of their fur. - Plan a trip to a zoo or wildlife sanctuary to see leopards in person. Talk about what you learned from the video and see if you can spot any leopards with unique or unusual fur patterns.

Pretend play with your child
GAME NAME: Spot Detective GAME INSTRUCTIONS: In this game, you and your child will take turns being the "Spot Detective." As the Spot Detective, one of you will close your eyes while the other hides spots (e.g. stickers, cut-out shapes) around a designated area. The Spot Detective then opens their eyes and tries to find as many spots as possible within a time limit. Switch roles and keep playing to see who can find the most spots!

1 take away from the video for your child
Not all leopards have spots! Some have dark hair that makes it hard to see their spots. Don't judge based on appearances.
