Salt Painting Christmas Tree

Salt Painting Christmas Tree

Do you know why we put out salt on the streets during the winter months? Salt dissolves in water and lowers its freezing point, so it takes temperature to drop even lower to turn salted water into ice. Our picture today will use salt, and watercolour paints too. MATERIALS: - Colour paper - PVA glue - Salt - Watercolour paints - Water - Brush INSTRUCTIONS: (1) Create your design with glue on the paper. Cover the glue with salt and let dry. (2) Use water to activate the paints, and lightly dab them onto the salt. The paint will flow and blend into the salt, creating a cool blending effect!
