You learned that Thanksgiving is a special holiday where families come together to eat delicious food like turkey, mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce, and pumpkin pie. It’s a wonderful thing to celebrate and enjoy with loved ones.

Some activities you can do with your child now

– Have a discussion with your child about their favorite Thanksgiving food and why they like it.
– Encourage your child to draw a picture of their favorite Thanksgiving dish and explain why they chose it.
– Help your child create a Thanksgiving menu by cutting out pictures of different foods from magazines and gluing them onto a paper.
– Play a game where you name different Thanksgiving foods and your child has to act out how they would eat it.

Instructions: Place picture cards of different Thanksgiving foods facedown on a table. Take turns flipping over two cards to find a match.
