The Hila monster is a fascinating lizard found in the desert southwest of the United States. It holds the Guinness World Records title for being the most dangerous lizard due to its clinically significant venom, similar to that of a rattlesnake. Although their venom causes pain and swelling, there have been no recorded human fatalities from encounters with these timid creatures. They are wonderful desert inhabitants and make for good neighbors when left undisturbed.
