How to delete your account and what happens to your data

This page explains how to delete your Kidzovo or Color with Ovo account and the personal data associated with it. Both apps are operated by Deepmedia Inc. and share the same account deletion process described below.


1. Who this applies to

This process applies to the parent (adult) account holder for either Kidzovo or Color with Ovo — whether you use the mobile app on iOS and Android or, for Kidzovo, the web app at app.kidzovo.com — and to all child profiles created under that account. Deleting the parent account also deletes every child profile attached to it.


2. Option 1: Delete from inside the app

If you can still sign in to Kidzovo or Color with Ovo on the mobile app (or, for Kidzovo, on the web at app.kidzovo.com):

  1. Open the app (Kidzovo or Color with Ovo) — or, for Kidzovo, go to app.kidzovo.com — and sign in.
  2. Go to the Parent's Area.
  3. Open the Settings tab.
  4. Scroll to the bottom of the Settings page and tap (or click) Delete Account.
  5. Confirm the deletion when prompted.

You will receive a confirmation email at the address registered to your account once the deletion has completed.


3. Option 2: Request deletion by email

If you do not have access to the app — for example, you have already uninstalled it, or you cannot sign in — you can request deletion directly from us.

Send an email to support@kidzovo.com with the following:

  • Subject: Account deletion request
  • From: the email address registered to your account (so we can verify ownership)
  • Body: which app the account belongs to (Kidzovo or Color with Ovo), the email address associated with your account, and confirmation that you want the account and all associated child profiles deleted

We may ask one or two follow-up questions to verify your identity before we delete the account. We do this to protect your data — we will never delete an account without confirming the request comes from the account owner.


4. What data is deleted

When your account is deleted, the following is removed from our active systems:

  • Parent account profile information (name, email address, password hash)
  • All child profiles created under the account, including names, ages, avatars, and learning preferences
  • Learning progress, activity history, and performance records for every child profile
  • Any voice recordings retained for personalization
  • Push notification tokens and device identifiers tied to the account
  • App settings and preferences

5. What data is retained, and why

A small amount of data may be retained after account deletion, only where we are legally required to keep it or where it is necessary to protect our service:

  • Transaction and billing records — retained for the period required by applicable tax, accounting, and consumer-protection law (typically up to 7 years).
  • Records needed to comply with a legal obligation, court order, or to resolve disputes — retained for as long as the obligation or matter requires.
  • De-identified, aggregated analytics — data that can no longer be linked back to you or your child may be retained indefinitely to help us understand and improve the service.

All other personal data tied to your account is deleted.


6. How long deletion takes

We action verified deletion requests within 30 days. In most cases the account and associated data are removed within a few business days. Backups are overwritten on our regular rotation, so any residual copies in encrypted backups are purged within 90 days of the deletion request.
