Playing with Mr O’Dear’s old kayak is great fun for most of the kids, but Lee’s too “teensy” to sit in it. The group want to take the kayak to the water, and Whale Cove is chosen as the best spot to try it out. At the cove they come across Finn Whale, who’s crying because he’s too big for his birthday present, a new tricycle. He wishes he were smaller, while poor Lee wishes she were bigger. Mr O’Dear tries to cheer the pair up with a jingle about how size doesn’t matter, what matters is what you can do. When the kayak gets stuck at the top of the sand dune, Finn and Lee work together to get it back and they learn that their size can come in handy sometimes.
