Earnest Elk doesn’t want to go to bed even though he has to get up early for a birthday. When he wakes up the next morning Mum has gone and he can’t remember what he’s supposed to do and when. When he finally finds Mum he admits that sometimes it’s important to listen carefully to what you are told.
