Playing outside in the school’s backyard, Ciaran is terrified by a little spider. Mr O’Dear comes to the rescue and scoops the spider up in a tin. The kids are impressed with his bravery, but when the class accept an invitation to Mammy O’Dear’s cottage they find out that Mr O’Dear used to be afraid of moths – and still is! Mammy O’Dear sings a song about how it’s ok to be afraid, but you shouldn’t let it spoil your fun. In the end Ciaran realises that the little spider isn’t all that scary.
