Smoking Kills (Diseases Caused by Smoking)

In this live-action program viewers will learn that smoking is one of the leading causes of preventable death. Students will come to understand that when a person smokes, hundreds of toxic chemicals are inhaled with every puff and many of these chemicals are carcinogens, a substance that causes or aggravates cancer. The program discusses that smoking harms nearly every organ of the body, and especially the lungs. Smoking reduces breathing capacity. It scars your lungs causing respiratory diseases such as chronic obstructive pulmonary disease or COPD, emphysema, and bronchitis.
