Did you know there's a way to make art using the light from the sun? It's called a cyanotype, and Mister Brown is going to tell you all about how they work, and how to make your own!

    You can make art using the sun! It's called cyanotype. Mister Brown will teach you how to make it too.

  • 4 activities you can do with your child now

    - Gather materials such as cyanotype paper, a clear plastic sheet, and objects to make prints with. - Go outside with your child and find a sunny spot to set up the materials. - Help your child arrange the objects on the cyanotype paper and cover it with the plastic sheet. - Leave it in the sun for a few minutes until the paper turns a shade of blue, then rinse it with water to reveal the print.

  • Pretend play with your child

    GAME NAME: Sun Art Fun INSTRUCTIONS: Collect some leaves, flowers or any objects with interesting shapes. Find a sunny spot outside and lay them on a piece of sun-sensitive paper. Cover the objects with a glass or a plastic sheet and let it sit in the sun for a few minutes. Remove the objects and rinse the paper with water. Watch as your child's artwork emerges!
