At school Brigid takes a joke from Ruari’s puppet show too far and teases the other children. The group decide to take a long hike out to Puffin Point where they meet the irascible Puffin Patricia. She impersonates Mr O’Dear and gets a big laugh from the kids. Encouraged by the attention, she mimics Roisin too, ignoring Mr O’Dear’s requests to cease her antics. She asks since she’s enjoying it so much, why she should stop? Mr O’Dear sings a ballad about respecting others, but Brigid and Puffin Patricia still aren’t quite grasping the difference between joking and teasing. When the group meet Ethan Starfish, he shows them that it’s nice to be nice. Puffin Patricia sees her folly and she and the children help Ethan get back to the sea. Little Brigid understands now and makes it up with the other children.
