Tips for Parents
-
Here's how to talk to your child about it
You learned about stars in the sky and how they twinkle like diamonds. Stars are high above us and make us wonder what they are.
-
Some activities you can do with your child now
- Ask your child to point to the sky and identify stars like in the video. - Encourage your child to sing along with you to the Twinkle Twinkle Little Star song. - Create a star-themed craft activity with your child, making shiny stars like diamonds. - Have a stargazing session in the backyard with your child, looking for stars up above.
-
Pretend play with your child
GAME: "Star Seekers" INSTRUCTIONS: Parent (you) and your child take turns pointing at objects in the sky (clouds, birds) and guessing what they are, just like wondering about the star in the song. Encourage imagination and curiosity.
-
1 take away from the video for your child
Look up and dream high like a star. Wonder about the world around you. Stay curious and keep shining bright, just like the little star.
